Subject: Interview
I am an Indian Citizen and presently working in US. If I apply for a PR and once application has been filed under the Buffalo office, what happens if I need to go ack to India and work from there? Will my application be placed in the Indian queue or it will continue to be processed in the Buffalo office, assumption that I am not using any attorneys.

Do I need to be in US for the interview if I was in US at the time of application?

Application will still be processed from Buffalo office but an US address for correspondence needs to be provided.

In case called for an interview, you will have to travel to US for interview.

Also, you will have problems of mailing passports from India to US if no interview and a PPR request is received.

My advise is to file at a location where atleast year to 2 years visibility is there without frequent change of correspondence addresses.
