| Subject: Will DUI cause problems for me? |
About 11 years ago I was arrested on a DUI in California? This will appear on my record still, as I never applied for a pardon.
Will this hurt my chances at the background stage?

I´m not sure about that. DUI is cause for visa refusal. Canada takes DUI very serioiusly, as stated at the CIC website. However, if 10 years have elapsed, only one conviction, and no personal or property damage, there is a process for rehabilition status. I would investigate further.

DUI will highly affect your application but i think there is a time factor involved. I beleive if it is 11 years old then there should be some room available for you.
