Subject: traveling overseas after inland application |

I just applied to sponsor my Australian husband through an in-land application last month. He has a valid work visa which expires at the end of March. We need to travel overseas for 2 weeks in February, and I was wondering if he could be denied re-entry? I´ve heard it´s not advised to leave Canada while your application is in process, but is it also the case if your original visa is still valid?

Again a CVV or Visitor Visa prevents the Airline for being punished for allowing your spouse on the plane.
A visitor is determined to be genuine at the POE Port of Entry and if your partner leaves he could be question about him applying for PR from within Canada and therefore denied entry because he would be seeking entry until such time as your In-Land Spousal sponsorship is approved. Therefore not a visitor.
Suz you should of applied outside of Canada by far the quickest process.
