Subject: Work Permit?
Hi, i am from Mexico and recently got married to a beautiful Canadian girl inside Canada. I have been illegal in the country for about 20 months. My question is while waiting for PR (i started he process this month )Can i apply for a work permit?; Since i don´t have a SIN it´s hard to find a job, and my wife´s income is barely enough to survive, we´ll appreciate any comments .

Thanks and God bless you!.

Have you received a letter called "Approved in principle"?

a last question (practicing my Spanglihs):

IF A DON´T HAVE A DEPORTATION ORDER OR ANY PROBLEM WITH CANADA LAW (AND ANY OTHER COUNTRY)BESIDES STAYING LONGER THAN I SHOULD; HOW LONG COULD IT THE WAITING TAKE? I NOW YOU SAID YOU ARE AN ENGINEER, BUT ANY IDEA.

No I am not sure about the time line, I think is around 18 months or so. However the dangerous thing here is that you HAVE to probe that your relationship is genuine. You have no right to appeal the officer´s decision once is made. You only have one shot.

You may read the Operation Manuals for In-land process @ www.cic.gc.ca

Cheers
