Subject: does work experience in the US count? |
I have heard that it´s very difficult to get a job in Canada if you don´t have work experience there. I have a graduate degree and 10 years professional experience in the US. Do I have to start all over again? How would the years be discounted, if at all? Thanks.

(in reply to: does work experience in the US count?) your US experience should be fine. the biggest problem for new Canadians is language. All the skill in the world is no good if you cannot talk with your co-workers, your clients or your boss. Transfer of creditation in certain fields is also difficult but possible.

(in reply to: does work experience in the US count?) The canadians have a problem of making money from immigration and allowing people to twat english with their own native language in fear of getting exposed of this nuisance they say "canadian experience"
chinese speak chinglish
hindi speak hinglish
pakistani speaks munglish
like wise a person who wants to live in canada should learn cohabitat with scores of morons who dont know the real english. Basically all the immigrants speak cabbie-english.
Thats "Canadian Experience"
