Subject: Spousal sponsorship - Proof of relationship
Hi everybody. I have the following question about spousal sponsoring.

I know that I must send evidence of the relationship between my spouse and me such as wedding photos.

How should I send them? I have them digitally. Should I print two or three photos per page, or should I print them individually. Should I sent them in a separate envelope?

Thanks in advance.

The answer depends partly on your ethnic background, type of status sponsorship and common sense.

If it is either his or your first marriage prey you have parents in attendance. If both of your families attended your wedding by all means show the group photos especially the ones with both parents in the photo. Even label them after printing two or three of them in colour on a piece of paper.

Wedding photos are staged photos and prove little other then you had a nice wedding. Photos that show the two of you caring about one another are best. A photo were the two of you are not the centre of attention but your lets say holding hands and laughing about something in the photo.

A photo of the two of you relaxing at a party or around home with friends, great. Photos that capture the two of you when your not looking at the camera or are aware the photo is being taken are best.

If it is your second marriage and the wedding ceremony itself was not a major event focus on the reception and the relationship type photos. Any photos from any trip the two of you went on are super as well.

If there is a major age difference or religous/ethnic make up address this in your letter listed at the bottom of your questionnaires. Remember the more differences the more challenge to overcome, which by this time you already know how to defend your relationship.

Be sure to have a third unconnected third party to review the photos before printing. Think seriously about just listing the print numbers and taking them to a printer to have them copied unto a sheet of paper.

Do not focus on how you individually look in any photo but how the two of you look as a couple! That is what your task is, proving the bond.

Good Luck

marriage confusion. (in reply to: Spousal sponsorship - Proof of relationship)
My question is that i am 24 and my wife is 35. She was a Widow and i did a court marriage with her in Courts of Pakistan as we both are Pakistani Citizens.
My Questions are:
1. Does this age difference matter?
2. What should be the proof of marriage as we did court marriage and had not celebrate it as this was second marriage of my wife as she was formerly a widow with 2 children?

How you think about my whole situation?

Amir, you have omitted some important information:

are you intending to come to Canada?
is your wife a Canadian PR
are you coming Skilled worker or are you wanting to be sponsored

If this is a family class sponsorship question- you are going to have to figure out how this does not look like a marriage of convenience to gain Canadian status.

How to Label Photographs (in reply to: Spousal sponsorship - Proof of relationship)
I am applying under Family Class Spousal sponsorship. I need to provide photogrphs as proof of relationship. Question is how do we need to label the photos? At the back? or At the Front?

Do we need to write given names of all the memebers appered in the Photo? or need to write the relationships like Aplicant´s Mother, Sponsor´s Mother etc. Any help would be highly appreciated..
