Maybe someone here can make sense of this situation.
Ever since I won a Humanitarian and Compassionate application in January 2005 based on an UnWed mother from China I have had many UnWed mothers in the similar situation.
Background ---- Any Unwed Mother gets fined up to six times the disposable income (approx. $135,000.00 CA) plus the mother would have to pay foreign student fees up to $17,000.00 dollars per year. The UnWed mothers parents would not support her and her child. Then along came Hong ZHANG a really lovely lady in the same situation but with CBSA already purchasing her airline ticket.

My client Hong Zhang went with me to the media to fight this issue. Now the Chinese government who came to my office demanding to know why I was claiming the facts I was, saying the things in the media that I did, knows of Hong ZHANG and her Canadian child.
Ms. Hong ZHANG only has her removal DEFERRED until CIC looks at her H&C application! Which could be YEARS!
Since I took a snow day on Friday I found out yesterday that a third client (UnWed Mother) since Ms. Zhang media attention has been approved stage one to remain in Canada.
YET all three of these UnWed mothers that now have status in Canada will not go to the media to support Hong ZHANG! WHY??????
Does anyone have any ideas on how I could convince one of these ladies to assist Ms. Hong Zhang becausse she was the strong one that made CIC see logic?
APPROVAL OF HONG ZHANG IS NOT AUTOMATIC BECAUSE THERE IS NO PRECEDENTS IN H&C APPLICATIONS.

You have no right to use your clients in the media for cheap publicity.
You want to go to the media for your own benefit and to get clients, maybe to rip some of them off.
Thousands of immigration cases are done by lawyers and they do not expose their clients to the media, because they are not SELFISH AND GREEDY.
So stop being greedy and get on helping others.

Few have the ability to win cases I win! Jealousy is powerful Tom. The media is begging for other UnWed Mothers to come forward because sending UnWed Mothers back to China for a life of Poverty due to these fines is not very compassionate behaviour by Canada.
Certain issues are very important and certain clients are real special, Hong Zhang and little Sherry are at the front of the line.

THIS IS A PRO BONO CLIENT WITH HER CANADIAN CHILD THAT DESERVES TO BE EDUCATED.

WOW I think Sharon Got It------PEEPING TOM IS BALWANT PERSAUD.
Only Bally (aka Peeping Tom) would see that trying to get CIC to render a decison and allow a single mother to be able to afford health care and education for her Canadian child could be interpreted as seeking business for oneself!
Bally (aka Peeping Tom) I know you have never ever gotten a defferal of removal for any client of yours. A deferral is just something that can be cancelled at any time, CIC can force this UnWed mother onto the plane at any time.
Your the guy people assist all the time by shovelling your laneway, cutting your grass, pushing you out of the ditch &n making sure your house looks lived in. Then when it comes to return the neighborly behaviour your no where to be found.
I should have noticed your sexist comments towards a terrific Mother such as Hong Zhang.

The successful clients in the same type of situation as Hong Zhang will allow only their names to be used. The reporter that has been hounding me says without the photos with their kids or comments from them he will not use the story.
Sad, when others can not help out after receiving the assistance and risk Hong Zhang took.
I do not know if their lack of assistance is because they are afraid of the communist government or.....
I need ideas folks on how to convince them, please.

do you think the stigma of being an unwed mother is so socially difficult within the culture that they cannot bring themselves to submit to the shame - even if it means preserving their futures?
they must be reassure that they are emotionally safe to expose their stories and perhaps there is someone within the Asian community that could offer some kind of emotional support.
It must be terrifying.

The last two that got approved stage one are afraid that someone will say I saw a man or a woman coming out of their place in the morning and they are not really Un-Wed.
This Sunday I have a very deserving client being featured in the Media. Will post the article that I did not write.
Her name is Ms. PIAO and before Peeping Tom pounces YES I have written authorization to use her name.
NOT growing up under communism I will never understand these mothers.

I suspect anyone that has lived in eastern europe might have a similar idea. Police and the law are not always spoken in the same sentence.
so we have language, culture and fear. lousy combination and who would ever take the word of an unwed woman.
