Hi there,
I am currently a student in Canada and am applying for PR under the skilled worker class. Two years ago, I applied for a study permit from Pakistan where they asked me to provide police clearances from FBI (I was a student in the US prior to coming to Canada) and from Pakistani authorities. After getting my study permit, I went to the US where I spent three months wrapping things up and then proceeded to Canada.
Now, my question is... Is it possible to use the same police certificates that I used two years ago, since I did not spend 6 consecutive months in either Pakistan or the US after getting my study permit? I have heard of people reusing their old police certificates, I just wanted to know what the exact rule is regarding old police certificates.
Thanks

(in reply to: Reusing old police certificates) No. Canada immigration requires police certificates to have been issued within the last 6 months.

(in reply to: Reusing old police certificates) I also knew that.
In my case I had to re-send my most recent police certificate from back home.

(in reply to: Reusing old police certificates) So, did you already have it handy when they requested it and was it less than 6 months old? Why didn´t you send it in the first place?

(in reply to: Reusing old police certificates) I had to send first with my initial applciation.
For some reasons, my processing was delayed, and they asked for a new one with the medical.

(in reply to: Reusing old police certificates) (in reply to: Reusing old police certificates) Now, I am confused about when to submit police report? I thought the police report submission was after the initial screening.
