The NAU would take effect from 2010 and there would be a single currency called the Amero. What impact would the NAU have on immigration btw canada and the USA.

Would Americans be able to come to canada for work and free health?

Would Canadians be able to work in America without the TN1 visa?

Would impact would the canadian Oil have with the NAU?

Very interesting topic. Can anyone shed more and reliable light on it?

Few months back when the loonie was going higher I heard a conspiracy theory that it was an effort for NAU, though didn´t have anything solid.

"Would Americans be able to come to canada for work and free health?

Would Canadians be able to work in America without the TN1 visa?"

I think both wouldn´t happen even with NAU or whatever.

This stuff comes from the "new world order" conspiracy crowd, which also sees NAFTA, Council on Foreign Relations, and UN as anti-local government and autonomy.

They also fear a new "superhighway" that supposedly is in the planning stages to traverse from Mexico, through the U.S., and to Canada. Supposedly, this would reduce American autonomy.

There´s not much to this except rumors and fear. These people generally believe world organizations will take over from local governments and create a world government. Many in these groups also think the American government caused the collapse of the world trade center. They´ve created websites, blogs, and forums where they re-hash this over and over.

By the way, a major U.S. presidential candidate subscribes to these ideas - Ron Paul.

So Richard you think that the news is true? By 2010 we´ll have NAU???

I closely watched many documentary on 2 famous conspiracy theories; Kennedy murder and 911, and so far nothing convinced me.

DC, no I don´t believe these theories. I also agree with you that there´s nothing to the Kennedy and 911 conspiracy stories. I think ther´s something about many Americans that they can never trust their government or what´s officially told to them. Part of that frontier individualistic character I think.

I think so too Richard.

To me, especially after the Vietnam war, Americans realized that their Govt. can lie to them overtly and started fabricating the conspiracy theories.

Sometimes tt seems unblievable to me how the conspiracy theory believers overlook and distort the facts and presents the JFK movie as the 100% fact.

Yes, very true DC. In my opinion, that´s why national health care never developed in the U.S. Americans just don´t think their governement is trustworthy enough to manage a universal health care system. (hopefully may change in next election)

But apparently they believe their government can well manage a huge military machine and conduct large foreign wars.

That JFK movie was mostly fiction and just entertainment.

Funny thing is the conspiracy theorists rely more on the JFK movie rather than reading the Warren commission report. It looks like good number of people have nothing to do and idle brain is always the workshop of devil.

People should give more time in politics rather than watching/listening such thrillers and vote judiciosuly.

About the healthcare; I sense a change may come, if not within the next election.

Anyway, food news for me is from this year our health insurance is reduced by 30$/month. Something is better than nothing.
