Different Cards (in reply to: what's the difference of SIN card and PR card?)
PR is your Permanent Residence Card
SIN is your Social Insurance Number Card.

They are obviously different cards.

PR cards are issued to anyone that is not born in Canada and has formally immigrated. It is to verify your status in Canada. SIN cards are issued to all legal (national and immigrant) Canadians and it is used to track income tax, employment insurance, banking, medical coverage, pensions etc.

Green card and PR card are not the same thing. PR card will not let you cross the boarder to USA, where are green card will certanly let in you in Canada.
