Hi Sharon,
I applied for PR from Germany in 2005 ,passed the interview on june 19th 2007.Since then I am waiting for my medical papers for about 8 months.
Last week I asked them for the status of my file per e-mail and received the follwing reply:
"Dear Applicant,
Please be advised that we are waiting for the results of background
checks. As these checks are done by agencies outside of our control,
we
are unable to comment on when they will be completed. The immigration
section will contact the applicant when this file is complete with
further instructions."
How do you comment on my case.

unfortunately, there is nothing particularly unusual about your situation. All files must clear independent security clearance which are different that the police clearances you supplied with your application.
there are many folks in similar situations - the best that can be done is wait as patiently as you can.

Hi,
I have Net income of $17,000, Can i sponser My spouse with this income ? I have seen in the Immigration website that there should be 21,750 to sponser a person. Please let me know i can sponser ?

sponsoring a spouse does not require a minimum income so to answer your question Shani - yes
