Naturally Alberta because of the oil boob there. Though real estate hence living cost is higher there.

BC is also booming. May be even a better choice for the near future.

You should look at the job market (internet) may send your resume using Canadian contact and see the response. That may give you a good indication about your hot spot.

Bill may tell better, he lives in AL and working in oil related field.

Hi,
No doubt, Alberta is hot spot. Do not expect you will get some thing relevant to your field on arrival. Be prepared to do labor job for survival. For relevant job you must have Canadian references.
Be prepared for challenges ahead,

Good luck,

Mr. nomlah,

You have gruesome consequences for speaking the truth. Be prepare if any "senior" members read your remarks by any chance.

Good Luck.

Noman,

Are you the webmaster of that site?
http://thinkingofcanada.com

I´m still browsing the site and more I read more I have toi agree. That is infact bad news for you in this site; you can´t speak the truth here. Just read some of my posts earlier and see what happened to me, I even didn´t write many things written here.

Just few days ago I told that such sites are just increasing and people seriously need to think why other than finding fairy conspiray theories and personal venegance. Supression by force can´t help anyway to hide the facts.

Good luck my freind.

Hi All,

I think Alberta is a good place for your profession. One thing I would check before making the move is go to this web site:

www.apegga.com

This site will give you some information related to the requeriments to be able to practice Engineering in the province of Alberta.

If for some reason you can´t be license right away, you can always work under the supervision of a P.Eng and eventually get your certification.
And the pay still very good. There are places like Grand Prairie or Fort McMurray were gas patch and oils sands are always looking for professionals, there is probably easer to get the hours and hands on experience that will help with your licensing.

Housing is expensive and hard to find specially in the Fort McMurray area, however is not impossible and most organization may be able to help.

Check Syncrude´s web site.
