Hello we are having a real problem here in the UK. We´ve read that the only acceptable photos are those from a negative, or split camera, NO digital photography is accepted. Is this outdated info? We can´t find a single photo place that does anything other than digital photos. Any help appreciated. Amanda

(in reply to: Photos) Digital photos done in the U.S. are acceptable. I find it hard to believe it would be otherwise in UK.
Click on the "Photograph Requirements" at the bottom of the page in this link for immigration photos for the UK. These are your instructions. You won´t see any mention that digital is not acceptable. Any photographer can do this. It´s pretty straightforward. You can cut the photos to specified size yourself, as we did.

(in reply to: Photos) Digital photos are well accepted if meets other requirements.
It is even not easy to diffenriate bewteen a digital & negative print out without a professional photographer.

(in reply to: Photos) Thanks Richard. I think its the bit where it mentions untouched negative that is freaking my husband out. He´s paranoid we´ll get rejected because the photos are wrong but I can´t imagine too many photo places take film into a darkroom these days. ta.

(in reply to: Photos) The worse outcome for inappropriate photos may be re-submittal of photos, meaning longer process. No point to deny just based on that.
Relax.

(in reply to: Photos) Digital photos should not be an issue at all. Make sure you satisfy other requirements like background and size etc.
I had taken the flash card from my camera to a pharmacy and printed out on professional paper, you cannot differentiate that one and one taken by a photographer.

(in reply to: Photos) I agree with all the above.
digital photos are accepted. You just have to make it the right size.
I did mine here in US (with US size) and I cut it MYSELF to adjust the Canadian size. It was accepted. No big deal.
