Subject: client id and file number |

Hello everyone,
I am also wondering why I couldn´t log in to CIC website using my Client ID and file number to check the status of my application. I am applied in Buffalo.
I could able to check it with my File number. However it doesn´t recognize my Client number. I heard from all my friends, who live here in Canada in the same status as me I (study permit), can check their status using both their Client ID and File number.
Could anyone has some experience to share or any kind of advice ?
Please help me!
Thanks
Sol

(in reply to: client id and file number) Hi,
Either you are entering wrong Client ID / file number Or your application is so fresh that they have not made status available.

(in reply to: client id and file number) Try typing your surname(s) and first name EXACTLY as you wrote it on your initial application...
I by mistake wrote my surname (dad´s last name) and my mom´s last name (in my country we carry both parents last names in our birth certificates)as my surname... and when I tried to access the CIC website I was only entering one last name... but then I check my application and noticed that I wrote both last names... I tried that and in worked...
