controlled hypertension costs $11 per month for a generic medication. I know because I have it.

what would be the down side to including your family in your application. You need to list them and you need to have them medically examined so why not include them in round one.

If you are concerned about the hyper tension .... don´t be. Just make sure he has been to the doctor and he is taking his meds or controlling it with diet.

being apart because of bad information is simply not a nice thing

tnx sharon...so does it mean there´s no problem with their application because of his condition?because i read all about the things that are inadmissable to Canada,in which one is if the sickness can cause excessive demands on Health and social services, but if im not mistaken it says their too that application under family class is not inadmissible to canada even if they can cause excessive demands on health and social services,is that true??or i dont really understand??thank a lot..Godbless..

in either scenario, the hypertension will not be an inadmissability issue. Just make sure they have followed up with the doctor and they are actively controlling the HT with medication or diet. By the time the immigration medical comes around, you should attempt to have it fully under control- just for safe measure.

Also consider adopting a cat (am in higher BP group too):

my strata has a no-pet bylaw. It is driving me nuts. mind you... the idea of a cat scratching the %^&o out of my sofa arm does not seem like the best answer for my BP either.

They´re really not that destructive. Just cover the furniture with some tasteful throws. But nothing to be done about bylaws I don´t think. BTW, green tea, hawthorn berry, garlic, and 1/2 hour+ walk every day also good for this.

actually, my $11 meds work terrific! 135/85. I also like the garlic and green tea part- BP or not!

hawthorne berry? interesting.

My girlfriend and her partner just adopted a ´senior´cat. She has destroyed a 10K cork floor and is such a picky eater that they are now buying salmon for her. They rush home every night so Sammy (I have another name for her - Miss Priss) is not lonely. The minute Sammy is finished her dinner she ignores them and goes upstairs to sleep in her favourite chair.

I am still trying to determine how that might be good for the old BP! The cat is more annoying than my ex! now... give me a Westie and we can have a discussion!

I had to look up what a Westie was, and yes one would have worked quite well too.

True about cats being finicky with food. And on top of that, they act like they´re doing you the favor by consuming it.

135/85 not bad, but 120/80 or less ideal. Also occasionally on meds here too. On a discussion board for BP, got hawthorn berry advice and it works. Can get it at any health store or anywhere with extensive vitamin selection, in capsule or liquid extract form.

I checked in at RTC. Didn´t realize it was such a nicely set up forum.

not really show money, but real money. You can´t go on a holiday with no cash in your pocket. $200-300 a day unless she has an invitation to stay with your sister. In which case spending money would be reasonable. $50 a day perhaps!
