I´m a Canadian citizen living in UK sponsering my husband to live in Canada. Our child won´t need to be sponsered because he´s automatically a Canadian citizen born to me, HOWEVER we are applying for our son´s citizenship certificate at the same time as sending off our application to sponser so there won´t be a photocopy of son´s citizenship card attached. Do you think this will cause any problems? In the immigrants checklist it says to attach proof of citizenship for any dependents accompanying you to Canada.

(in reply to: child question) Send in copy of live birth statement or his birth certificate. Have you already applied for an expedited passport?

(in reply to: child question) No I haven´t applied for his Canadian passport yet if thats what you mean, he has a British passport. Just applied for a Canadian citizenship certificate for him. We have copied his birth certificate. many thanks. Should I get him a Canadian passport as well do you think then?
