Dear All,
i got 5.0 Bands in Ilets and i have submitted all required documents to CHC Islamabad and waiting my Interview call.they call me for interview its reason is that i got only 5.0 Bands in ILets or may be any other reason for interview calling.i applied 2001 sep,as computer programmer.need urs suggestion why they called interview and when they will give me interview date i m waiting since last 6 months.there is any psibility they may waive my interview bcoz 6 months havebeen passed and total 39 months also passed when i applied for immigration total time period id 42 months.

I guess i should kick those people in IELTS who gave you 5.0 Your english sucks big way. Its IELTS dumbo not ILETS.

Ur IELTS score is the main reason for interview call. I guess when u applied, u must have claimed high proficiency in english where as ur scores give a different picture.

I think CIC officer should´ve told you what do you need to do. By the way what is your total points with your band-5 IELTS, did you meet minimum requirement of 67 points?

As I understand that language point are distributed based on IELTS individual bands. Therefore I would like to ask that how Canada immigration assess the scores based on IELTS bands. They only give the point even way i.e. 8, 10, 12, 14, 16. Are they giving the points in odd way ( 7, 9, 11, 13 etc.). What is there calculation proceedure if some one get bands like reading 5, listening 6, speaking 7, writing 6. Can anyone explain. Thanks

Depends on the immigration officer´s mood. He or she may give the points based on ther factors.
