Subject: Does coop/internship count towards work experience |

I plan to apply for immigration. By the time I graduate from university, I will have 12 months of full-time work experience in Canada and 12 months of full-time work experience in the US.
All of these are highly relevant to what I am studying (engineering). The 12 months in Canada are all summer internships, and the 12 months in the US are full-year co-op internships.
Will I be able to claim these experience towards the work experience factor?

(in reply to: Does coop/internship count towards work experience) You need 1 year of continous work experience.
If the year in the US matches the NOC description your applying for, there shouldn´t be a problem.

(in reply to: Does coop/internship count towards work experience) Thank you.
Say my experience in the US is 360 days, i.e. 5 days less than one year. Does this count as one year?

(in reply to: Does coop/internship count towards work experience) Of course, it does not.

(in reply to: Does coop/internship count towards work experience) Hmmm... it would be a risk.
Immigration officers use common sense to decide these things, so it might or might not be OK.
...unlike Tatiana, I´m not sure.
