Subject: Work Visa whilst awaiting PR Visa? |

Hi,
I have applied from the Uk for a FSW visa, and am in the queue (1 year down, 2 or 3 to go!). What I am wondering is whether I can apply for a working Visa if I was to find a job, and live and work legally in Canada whilst waiting for the FSW visa to come through. Would it be legal to be in Canada this way whilst waiting for the other visa, as I have read in previous posts that you can only apply for FSW visa from outside Canada. However, in my case I have applied from outside Canada, and am just trying to find a temorary way in whilst waiting. I think I have understood this correctly...
Sharon or Roy I would appreciate your input on this one, as I want to get to live in Canada through the proper channels, but I want to do this as quickly as possible!
Thanks in advance, Karen

(in reply to: Work Visa whilst awaiting PR Visa?) Go ahead! If you can get a job in Canada, it will significantly speed up your process(6 months as a priority processing figure), let alone bring other benefits such as additional points, the waiver of settlement funds, the opportunity to get landed within Canada. Good luck.
