Subject: Question about Police letter from India.
I have a question about Police letter for my spouse from India. My husband lived at an address until year 2004 and then he moved to a different address. His passport was not updated with the new address. So the issuing Police officer did not enter the new address saying that they only follow the address in the passport. The letter says that Mr. ABC resided at Address XYZ from birth until and Year 2004 and he has no arrest record during his stay. WIll this confuse the Visa officer as to where he has been since 2004 and if he committed any criminal offense during that period not mentioned in the letter? Someone with expertise in this area, please reply to this. I will highly appreciate any comments.

Don´t you have Permanent address in the passport? I guess one police certificate is enough. If CIC needs more info they will contact your husband

You can add a note stating that pcc has been issued based on the address in the passport. The address in passport is the permanent address in India.
