Subject: Mistake on sponsorship form
  Hello everyone, I am trying to bring my wife here from India, i posted my documents yesterday and i checked the copy and found that my wife´s last name was mis-spelled on one of the sposorship document . the file is on the way to CPC. is there a way i can send another copy to them and ask to replace or that file is gonna come back ? I am really worried. Please Advice me.

If i can send corrected one, I don´t have file number and i belive it´s gonna take at least a month to get file number what reference do i put for replacing that document?

Hi, I think it is best you wait for your file number to arrive and then write a letter explaining the mistake and the corrections needed to be made... but I believe you must fix it though so you will not have any difficulties when the time to issue the visa comes... good luck... by the way... wait for more comments on this... this is just what I would do... perhaps someone else had the same experience and can give you a more definite answer...

NOW THAT IS NOT COOL, LOL

If you have the Postal Tracking number by all means send the corrected form.

Here is a prime example why certain spousal sponsorships get kicked for an interview.

thanks Roy and Lily for advice, i will do send the corrected one , does tracking number helps to locate that file? do they still keep that packet at CIC, I was thinking about putting my Payment Receipt Number. which is better???

why not both. anything you can do to make sure the old documents and new documents end up in the same file.
