| Subject: Does the CIC office call the applicants? |

Hi, I´ve read some posts that during the application process, the local CIC office called the applicants for some documents, requests, etc. However, I also know that the office would send letters (instead of phone calls) to the applicants requesting for something like documents. So what is their usual practice? What if they phone me and I miss the call?

Depending on application of course they call. If on the application the person checks off they speak English and can not communicate in English is a reason to transfer the file because the CIC office can not confirm minor issues.

yes they do call.... and i got the call to submit particular document and which i submitted.

On October 15th 2005 after waiting three years to have a response on their H&C application CIC Scarborough called my client at 19:30 hrs (7.30 p.m.) and asked him questions.
He answered most of the questions and then when one question seemed strange to him he hung up saying "My English no good" the Scar. CIC officer transferred the file the next day to the PRRA Unit were it has sat ever since.
