Subject: Is sharon the owner of this forum; an officer...
Is sharon the owner of this forum; an officer with CIC; an immigration lawyer or consultant? Who is she? Why is she so rude? If you read her messages you will easily find her irritating and not supporting. I am praying and hoping that she is not with CIC otherwise nobody will be able to get visa for Canada. This forum is to help people, guide them properly (if you can) instead she has a taunting attitude. CIC is like this, if you do not like it, do not apply. Why are you so positive about your approval? This is the kind of comments she gives and strongly discourages the people who approach this forum to seek some advice. Adds on this forum is because of the traffic of people and sharon is trying her best to reduce the traafic on this forum. Sharon, i would advise you to take deep breath before replying the messages of poor helpless people and if you can not do it, just do not bother because you never guide people you always comment on what they are asking? Think about it and think seriously and review your replies because i am not accusing you for something that you do not do. Please change your attitude and start helping people instead of wasting their time by posting useless comments.

darn, I just backed up to look at something and lost my post.

Mike,
-I neither own or benefit from this website.
-I have no employment or professional affiliations with any aspect involving immigration matters - I am an Executive Director of a Canadian Business NPO.

In the 5 years I have participated in this forum I have learned the following:
-immigration can be expensive
-immigration is not for the faint of heart
-immigration is a priviledge and not a right and therefore regardless of which country is been applied to... their rules are the only rules of the game and you can think they are not fair, or not necessary but it is an exercise in empty futility. In fact, all it does is waste time and energy. As immigration is a voluntary exercise, an unhappy applicant always has the option to take their chances that ignoring the request will not affect the outcome, supply the information as required, or decide it is all too much trouble and abandon the process. CIC is not about to change their requirements because it is inconvenient or costs money - get real.
-nobody here has seen anyones CIC file, and nobody here works for CIC THEREFORE making promises (which even CIC won´t do) or pronouncements about approval or guarantee time lines is purely arrogant speculation. It is highly unfair to make promises we are not accountable for and given the level of inaccurate information that is posted here - highly unethical. If I see over zealous promises being made or outcomes being guaranteed, I speak up. It is my way of protecting someone that has no idea that they are being promised something that there is no promise for. If they don´t like the truth... well, I am sorry about that.

Immigrant has a warm and fuzzy aspect to it. We like to cheer each other on - and so we should. We help point each other in the right direction to solve questions to application questions. Being helpful also includes being honest.

If that fluffs your feathers, so be it.

Mike, I do not find Sharon to be rude.

However, I find outright hostility against her by a number of people to be repulsive. Do not you people have otther things to do than to harras a person over the internet?!

Okay here is another point of view.

Somebody posts a question and seeks an answer.

Four people view the question, two shake their heads and do not answer the question, because of how they interpret the question.

One answers it trying to be as sweet as pie.

The fourth looks at the question and asks a question back based on the illogical way the person asked the question.

We all interpret things differently.

Most posters want the Immigration System bent a little more in their personal favor. That I can accept.

Some want it bent past breaking so sometimes they get a reply they do not like. Too Bad, thats life.

Not all posters re-read what they ask and not everyone that answers read the whole question. We are human and both sides make mistakes.

If I was Sharon I would have bought a flame thrower long ago.

Well, i have nothing personal with sharon or anybody else contributing on this forum. When i immigrated to Canada, i consulted this forum as well and found it very helping. I found her attitude a little bit rude and very blunt on few postings and i came up with this post other than that i have no concern whatsoever sharon is here for. The purpose of my post is just to help people understand the condition of applicants when their cases are in process. They feel so desperate and approcah every body to get a good piece of advice. And if you reply them simply by saying that, " if you do not LIKE the rule you should not apply" is very rude. This is not the forum to discuss and COMMENT about the rules. This forum is to provide SOLUTIONS to the needy (if you can) and if you do not have the knowledge to assist a needy, you should better keep your mouth shut and not increase the furstration of the needy. This is all i wanted to say!

Well, this is for you that is why you are reading it and replying and your recent reply is self explanatory. This is what i wanted to tell people about you and you have proved it. Thanks for helping me prove my point of view.

I am glad you think your last post made any sense whatsoever.

How about going back to the intent of the forum (which you so passionately suggest is the only reason to be here) and answer a few questions instead of taking ignorant potshots at me.

If that is beyond your ability, perhaps take the same suggestion you gave me and take a hike.

At least 3X a week we get these types of posts.

Why did he/she say this or that?

What was meant by this or that?

How dare he/she say this or that?

Mike get over it! Do you really think others agree with your interpretation of the facts?

Why not ask CBV333 etc. they all think Sharon helped them.

Would you be looking for a fight in a closet?

Goodnight.
