I have received my immigration visa (single entry) for canada and would be soon coming to canada(for the first time)I belong to India I need to know the following two things;
1.In how much time (max) would I get my PR card,would it be mailed to my canadian address?
2.Could my parents who would then be in canada receive it on my behalf and mail it back to me here in India,as I have to come back to India within few days ..

Immig office randomly asks you to come and collect personally. You can do what you want to but there is a huge risk. Becareful.

I have received my PR card in 3 months after I landed in canada. It takes 4 to 6 months. I received through my mail
And i never seen immigration office after landing to canada.
And PR card is not a big problem. You will get it automatically if you are a Landed immigrant.
Secondly U get SIN card and your eligible to do everything in canada except going out of the country.
