Subject: years of education
  I have a basic question

on imm008 simplified application form asks how many years of education you have. So if I completed High school (12 years) plus 4 years of college should I write 16? or 6 of HS. plus 4 of University?
this is 10?

Hou about children? if they have 4 or 5 years of elementary school? does this count? or only High school? or only education after that?

I`m a little confused, thanks for help

Dan I think you can count only your education, 8+4+4=16, thats it, you dont need for your childrens

Hi Dan,

It depends on the educatio al system of the country you came from... for example... in the Philippines we have the following standard/system of education...

Elementary Education = 6 years
High School = 4 years
College or University Degree = 4 or more years (depends on the degree - B.S in Computer Science is 4 years while B.S. in Computer Engineering is 5 years)...

If for example I have a client who completed High School education in 5-year time and degree in B.S. in Computer Science for 4.5 years then in accomplishing the IMM I will tell the client to enter 14 years INSTEAD of 15.5 years...

I hope this helps...
