I know Canada is a very welcoming place, (at least compared to the US) I have seen however some racial issues with middle easteners and other nationalities but what about North Americans? I know it soulds silly but I can see a lot of people hating on Americans.
Im Mexican and my gf is American and we are wondering how it will be like for us out there

(in reply to: are Americans and Mexicans welcome?) As an American, I have felt nothing but welcome in Canada. The worst I hear are heartfelt "I´m sorry"s in regards to our government, but Canadians are well able to differentiate between the American people and our current political regime.

I don´t think people care about your background. In my experience Canadians will like you for who you are regardless of your accent or skin colour.
This is a great country.
Salud amigo, espero que todo te salga bien.
Cheers
Bill
