Subject: To all immigration experts
Hi, I applied to Skilled Worker Category in Aug 2006 in HK (website states that they start processing it on Oct 24, 2006). I am a female under 30 years old, I obtained my high school diploma and bachelor degree from Canada (lived there over 8 years), I have 2 relatives in Canada and I worked in the IT industry.

My question is how likely is it for me to get my PR soon (may be in a year), I have just been accepted by a school and I am debating whether I should apply for student visa or defer my admission for a year and wait for my PR (to save money), please help, I don´t know what I should do.

Hi,
It may take about a year after interview. So do not think you will be here in less than a two years. Please note it is only a guess.
