Could anyone please advise if the processing time for family sponsorship is quicker when applying from outside Canada or inside Canada? If one applies from inside Canada, how would the applicant get into the country - is there such a thing as a tourist visa for someone from the UK?

If your spouse is already in Canada, you must use the inland application. It is slower than outland application. You should apply from outside Canada since your spouse lives in Uk.

Good luck

even if you are both in Canada, you can still manage an out of Canada application. Make sure your spouse does not show Canada as her place of residence. They are VISITING, right?

read the instructions carefully and make sure you fill out all the OUTLAND forms as if they are living in the UK.

2 reason to do this - it is faster, and if there is a problem, you can appeal the ruling.

One consideration - if you are claiming a commonlaw relationship you need to show that your personal affairs are combined and you are living apart because of....

you have not given us enough information to help you navigate very well so whatever you do, read everything very carefully. If you wonder or get stuck, make sure you ask rather than guess.

sorry about your snow :(

They are promising us 10C today. It has been colder than normal the past few weeks. There are no swimmers but the walkers and joggers are out in full force. The bicycle commuters have been at it for several weeks now. The minute daylight savings hits and the rain subsides a little, everyone is out. We are related to the duck family out here so a little water never bothers us.

Me, I am out digging in my garden. I noticed RONA has started dragging out the spring planting stuff. It´s a little early but you can tell people are getting itchy to play in their dirt.

The Magnolias are starting to bloom. They are the most glorious things and we seem to have a lot of them around. You never notice until those bright pink tulip shaped flowers stick all over the trees like clumps of crepe paper.

Dogwoods will be next. That is one of the best parts of living on the westcoast. February - June when all the trees and shrubs take turns flowering and every week the city seems to look a little different. I LOVE IT.

again, sorry about your snow.
