Subject: Is visa issued for part-time studies?

Hi All,

Is it possible to apply for a student visa for part-time studies? I am specifically looking at the part time program at Ryerson University in Toronto.

I have heard conflicting opinions. CIC tells me that I canm whereas the schools tell me that I have to be a full time student to even be eligible. Is it just that CIC will let me apply but reject my visa?

I am already in Canada on a visit visa ( if at all that changes anythihg).
