It went fast both times, if you have everything in order and nothing to hide-should be no complications.

You have to make sure to have everything ready, everything what you think might help you get it, even if this item is not on the list. Be sure to show up around 6am to get the first in line.

well you see over there its a different process all together, they dont like receive anything by mail, they prefer in person, when you go there have every document you think ready.

are you trying to get a visitor visa? that takes very fast actually, my mother came to visit me in Canada and she got one within a month.

Hey,

we are applying common-law visa.
We had sent all documents already to embassy in moscow and after 4 months they asked school and work certificates and they asked us to send by courier to them these papers.

Are you from russia ?

hi, common-law is different from marriage and you gotta prove it with everything you have that you relationship is genuine.
but i dont think it should take long. are you in canada? and your partner is in russia?

Hi,

Yes I am in canada and my partner is in russia.

Do they always call for an interview ?

Is common-law a hard visa for russia ?

We have sent them about 60 pictures of us letters with addresses showing both our names and some other things also affidavits from poeple from russia and europe stating that we lived together.

Waiting is very hard I hope they do it soon.

Thanks

im guessing that you applying for permanent residence for your partner, not just visa, so if so they gonna check it thoroughly, and it is different from getting a visitor visa. they gonna do as much background check as they can.

but submitting the letters is a good idea. where have you lived together, which country? also i know that they most always call for an interview if you applying from inside canada as a qualified worker, so i would assume that they gonna call you guys for an interview as well. In case with both of my visas, they called me in.
