Q.1:Is it possible to do medical examination for permanent residence application before they have instructed to do so?
Q2: Got first letter on June 2007.till now waiting. May i know about others who got their first letter at the same time?

(in reply to: Medical before they sent letter) I think you need to wait for immigration to send you the medical forms first to take to a designated doctor. The doctor cannot complete the official exam without these forms, which he then forwards to immigration.
It also makes sense to wait for the forms, as the medicals are valid for a certain period of time. If your processing takes unexpectedly longer, you might have to do the medical exam again.

(in reply to: Medical before they sent letter) The up-front medical examination process is only available to spouses, common-law partners and dependent children. If any other members of the Family Class (for example, parents and grandparents) use the up-front medical examination process, the medical results will not be valid and the examination will have to be redone.

(in reply to: Medical before they sent letter) To avoid confusion from above. We´re assuming and most people are inquiring about skilled worker permanent residence applications here. In those cases, the applicant must wait to receive the proper medical form first.
