| Subject: DO they PAY for training period? |

i am a general practitioner and i know i have to pass 3 exams and one year of clinical training in canada before i could be licenced for practising medicine in canada .
the question is , are they pay me (somthing like intern salary) during the trainig period or i have to die from starving !!!!!!!!

after 7 years of study ,2 years of internship and 2 years of obligatory social service in my country (4 years without salary ! absolutely free !!!!) , now i have to work for nothing in another country !!!!!!!!!!!! .
what do those government people think about doctors ?
are we slaves or something similar !?
i wish my legs was broken ,and i could not participate in medical university examination .

there are some websites for the College of Physicans and Surgeons that might be of some help. Hospital residents get paid... just not sure how the entire system works. I will try to find some links for you. Perhaps others can help too.

thanks dear sharon . i already searched lots of those websites but actully i didn´t find out anything about 1 year obligatory training salary .i think that ,someone who passed the same procedure may help us to find out truth.
