Good Advice!!!!
One should always look before leaping!
Everyone should not leap before they know what they are leaping into.
Leaping and not looking is something a young child does!
Research everything before you make a major decision regardless of the subject.
Immigrating to any country is a personal choice and one that has to be made based on your and your families personal circumstances.
If someone tells something that seems to good to be true, RUN!
Decisions must be common sense if a short cut is suggested consider if it is legal.
Make sure your information you research is not one sided.
When you personally have assessed all of the information you can find to make an informed decision make that decision and accept the consequences.
WHAT KEEPS GETTING ME FRUSTRATED IS THE "TROLLS" LIKE DIANE AKA &*^ ^ &^*() &*( WHO WOULD LIKE ALL TO THINK THAT CANADA IS A RACIST COUNTRY.
Lets compare Canada to Denmark, Germany, Lebanon, Israel, Sudan, Ireland, France, India, Pakistan, Australia, United States, Italy, Belgium, Sweden, Norway, Russia etc.

Roy is making his money making people believe that Canada is a perfect place, a racism free country. That´s a terrible. There is racism in Canada. There is racism anywhere. Saying the opposite is not naive but deceiving. Canada is not the only racist country in the world. People do have greater opportunities than in many other developed countries. However, the situation is not as it used to be.
Like in many other places Muslims in Canada are facing many forms of discrimination. The post 9/11 effect that affects many. Blacks are also discriminated in Canada. Remember the news on The Toronto Star about "ghetto dude"? A Black man who applied for a government job to later receive an email sent to another person describing him as "ghetto dude."
The media reports many cases of discrimination. They are there as evidence that Canada is far from perfect. There is always space for improvement. Believing that everything is just fine and that tulips make everyone happy and forget reality is not going to improve living conditions. Living in a complete bubble of idiocy closes, in fact, all doors for improvement.
Of course, for many coming from countries at war or in extreme poverty this country would from the outside as a wonderland, but reality indicates otherwise. Let´s open our eyes and make this country a better place for all. Don´t close your eyes to reality.

Racism is wrong no matter where it occurs.
I do not sell Canada I even state that on my web site that should be updated by the weekend. 98% of my business is with people already here who like Lilly want to be here.
Victor I wrote that one should compare Canada to other countries and you try to twist what I wrote all the way around to what???? Try reading what I wrote slower and read what Diane wrote before you form your opinion.

Why do you think that ONLY Canada is racist country. You will find some good people and bad people regardless race and color.
I am Muslim and live in Finland. Even a full time ODD job is a dream for foreigner here whether it does not matter in Canada. A clerical job is a GOLDEN (??!!) opportunity in Finland.
But situation will change and it is...if you compare last 20 years or even 10 years. Give them time to change their views. You may not see the changes BUT definitely
your next generation will. There are no such Paradise in this real world. All people want a better life.
One of my friend lived in Finland and after 8 yrs he moved to Calgary( Canada). And he came to visit me after 2years when he lived in Canada. I still remeber how he expressed his feelings for Canada and it was like this " I lived in Finland for 8 years and never felt this is my home; but even though I lived in Canada for 2 years, I CAN say Canada is my real HOME."

Tariq you just made my day and proved my point. I never forgot my trip to Oslo to see some clients and how badly they wanted to immigrate but I could not accept them as clients because even though educated no one would ever employ them. I lived in Demark and saw the graffiti everywhere. Keep Demark for the Danes (slightly different but U get the point).

Just a note.
One of my friends is from Germany. When you apply for a job there, you have to send your picture with your application.
Now, what can the picture be useful useful for other than some profiling?..
Racism is everywhere. it is a sad part of human nature. Perhaps, we will annihilate it someday, but so far we did not do it completely. But it is not bad as it was, say, 100 years ago when people believed in crap like "white man´s burden".
When complaining about racism in Canada, compare it to the rest of the planet.
