Can someone clarify this for me?

If my girlfriend (who is still legally married, and not legally separated) wants to come to Canada to visit me, is she legally allowed to stay 90 days, or 6 months in Canada w/o any issues?

My roomate had told me that if her husband (who she isn´t legally separated from yet), wanted to be a prick he could call up Canada Customs, and pretty much just have her deported because he wants to.

Has anyone ever heard of this happening before?

:(

question #1 - length of stay is determined by border staff. The maximum is 6 months but if there is some notion that she is moving to Canada or can´t support herself etc. they could put a shorter date on her passport.

As for #2 - CIC is not in the revenge business so the only issue to deal with is the conversation between your girlfriend and the border agent when she enters the country. The rests is all bad rumour.
