cause it would not matter what we say, you would have something contrary.

Wright is no different than most religious leaders - muslim, christian or otherwise... they don´t know when to shut up.

As for Obama, if he were in Canada this would have never happened.

What church does Dion go to? What do Catholics believe? What church does Layton go to? How bizarre do we want to get with this.

I did not realize Wright was running for president. If this is what the american people want to make this election about the country isn´t worth saving.

Well put, couldn´t have said it better. And actually Rev. Wright is not silent, but quite vocal still with his speech before the National Press Club yesterday.

But if we´re going to go down the path of who´s reverend said what, why does McCain get a free ride with his pastor-supporter, Rev. Hagee? This is the guy who said New Orleans deserved the hurricane because of its level of sin.

It´s actually the sensational press and tabloids who are driving this Wright "story" to death. And the public is force-fed such trivial "news", when issues like 50 million Americans having no health care don´t get talked about.

I can´t agree anymore. Beside the healthcare (as it is nothing new) to me it looks like that America (in fact the entire world) has to pass very hard time in the near future with increasing gas price...food price...Economy is in very bad shape. There are very little to talk about how to solve these burning issues other than some conventional plans.

Look like the burning issue is this pastor soap opera box. I stronngly believe that this American medias are largely responsible for many disasters of the country. Very little to know about the accounts of the cost/benefits..expenditure of the Iraq war.

Okay the Reverend Wright issue is like this from my point of view.

Obama attended his Church for TWENTY years.

Obama should of distanced himself from Reverend Wright.

Obama says that he is different and better then all the other Democratic contenders because he voted against invading Iraq! That he makes good decisions. That his character is better then the rest. Including Hillary who has her faults.

I agree partly with you Sharon

In Canada religion would never make a difference.
In Canada Race would never make a difference.
In Canada gender never made a difference.
In Canada pro or anti abortion would not make a difference now.
In Canada same sex marriage would not make a difference.

IN USA gender, race, religion and associations do make a difference because their politicians let on they are more holly then thou.

Face the facts OBAMA is guilty only by association which shows serious character faults according to the average American voter.

IN CANADA WE HAD A COMMUNIST LOVING POT SMOKING PRIME MINISTER WITH A WIFE WHO WENT TO A STONES CONCERT IN A CLUB WITH NO PANTIES ON AND THE PICTURE MADE THE PAPERS. SOOO!

WE LOVED TRUDEAU! I STILL LOVED TRUDEAU. PRIME MINISTER TRUDEAU TOLD THE OPPOSITION F--- o--. WHEN ASKED WHAT HE WOULD DO WITH THE FLQ HE SAID "JUST WATCH ME" HE GAVE NIXON THE FINGER WHEN HE REFUSED TO LET AMERICA RECOGNIZE CHINA FIRST.

Our politics lately are boring come on Justin Trudeau kick Dion out.

yes, I am young enough to remember!

Do we know how many times Obama would go to church in a year? He works in Washington, he has been campaigning for over a year... how much church do you fit in to that schedule. In evangelical circles, the pastor who baptizes children and marries couples is the pastor who is on the payroll at the time - no real biggie. In evangelical churches, the pastor is only part of the church leadership. Small Bible study groups are far more influential in what someone believes. People are giving Wright far too much power here.

Where Obama made his biggest mistake was bowing to those who wanted ´faith disclosure´ so they could feel warm and fuzzy that 1) he was not Muslim (and don´t even get me started on that one) and 2) he was the same as the other 3 candidates (and nobody has taken attendance for them either).

The entire excercise is disgusting- regardless of who the target is.

But Hillary is closing again announced on CNN tonight.

It can not be Pastor Wright only!!!!!!!!

This race is a real race, now. For a while Obama was too good to be true but he was getting the votes.

NOW ITS ABOUT "WIN - ABILITY" FOR THE DEMOCRATS.

Gotta agree with DC. The American media has its own agenda and
it´s getting to be very harmful for the country. Great book on this subject, "Rich Media, Poor Democracy: Communication Politics in Dubious Times" by Robert McChesney, Univ. of Illinois Press.

Roy´s right. Hillary does seem to be closing in. But at what cost, with pandering to any group and voting block. Where´s her integrity? Michael Moore on CNN Larry King last night couldn´t have said it better.

something would be wrong if Obama was not in trouble this week. The question will be by how much and what will happen in the weeks to come.

losing fair and square is one thing - losing this way is nothing short of dispicable.

Politics is organization and Hillary is having major problems but she is according to the Polls more likely to beat McCain.

WHY?

I guess America is still more racist than it is sexist. Either of the democrats should beat McCain by a landslide. why the polls don´t agree is beyond my imagination. Perhaps America would rather have 8 more years of pointless war and a tanked economy before they would support a woman or a black man in leadership.

for a country who thinks of itself as a world leader - they are sure neanderthal.

please, no offense to my amercian friends here.
