hi can any1 help me out... i´m in real confusion... i´m now completed my btech through some credit transfer frm 8 months in canada... i will get a year work permit ... how can i extend my stay or apply pr... when applying a nominee pr and when i´m nominated and applying for cic should i be in canada with same job n work permit... is there any way i can extend my work permit witout company proving the positive labour market.. please help me out

would have been helpful if instead of all the ... you provided us with clear information about your degree.If you completed it outside of Canada and are not holding a student permit,then everything else is pretty much irrelevant as you do not qualify for the post-grad work permit.
The rules for the post-grad wp have just been changed.Look it up on the CIC website.

am having a valid study permit till septembe 2008 and my duration of study in canada is 8 months... I get bachelors of engg and technology degree.. i called up with cic and they tol they will give me just a year work permit.. but my question is whether i can extend my work permit or what is the easiest way to apply pr within this 1 year.. thanks for the reply AMIR

By law, you are eligible for 8 months of work permit as you have studied in a designated institution for 8 months. You can only extend the post graduate work permit by following the normal work permit route. This is not easy to do.
If you do not have any previous experience, you will not be able to apply for PR as skilled worked through Buffalo. Even after meeting the minimum one year of continuous work experience you need to meet the 67 points criteria which in your case will be difficult.
p.s. post graduate work permit is only issued once irrespective of the number of degrees completed in Canada.
