Subject: CNA (nursing) in Canada
Would anyone know if CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) issued by a U.S. state is valid or recognized in Canada? Does Canada (or provinces) recognize only their own CNA certification?

Also what is the demand for CNAs?

Thanks.

Most provinces the answer is yes but it goes province by province since regulation is suppose to be Provincial authority.

Start surfing the net to contact each Nurses association.

Yes thanks Roy, I suspected CNA from the states would be valid.

Intended to do as you suggested as well. Since this forum is also a good source of information, wanted to see if anyone here had background or experience with this.

In general, in health sector there is real demand in Canada if the certification/licensure is not an issue.
