Subject: Extending Visitor Visa
My parents were granted a five years multiple entry visa that will expire on June 6 this year. They arrived April 25th for a visit. The immigration officer only stamped the entry day on their passports.

My questions are:

1. Does their status as visitors expire upon the expiry of their visa or is it 6 month from the day of entry?

2. Is wanting to stay with us for more time to enjoy their grand daughter good enough reason to extend their stay and when do I have to submit the form by?

Thanks

For the some countries stamp means can stay 6months.
some may not.
CIC recommand to apply extenstion of visa at least 2weeks before visa expired
