Subject: Police report - will it still be valid?
I was born in and lived in country A till I was 20. I´m now living in country B. I´m planning to apply for a Canadian permanent residence under the skilled worker program in about 2 years time.

As I´m back in country A now for a holiday, can I obtain the police report from this country now? Would it still be valid for me to use when I actually send in my application in 2 years time? I don´t plan on any future visits in the next 2 years, so it´ll problematic to obtain this later.

Thank you.

NO all proof of no convictions have to be issued within the last six months REGARDLESS of country.

Police certificates have expiry dates. Otherwise one could obtain a clearance at age 2 yrs and use that for the rest of their lives.
Ok, jokes apart, I think CIC accepts validity of the certificate for one year from the date of issue (so, it does not matter how long they are valid in country A or B).
So if you are going to apply 2 yrs from now, then there is no point in getting it now.
