I am a Canadian citizen and I made the mistake of faking my Section 18/19 on my sponsorship form. But my wife arrived and all is good now. But, this has come up. Is it possible I could get in trouble do you think?

Proof of employment. I needed a notarized letter with all sorts of information and had a fraudulent one expertly created for some company that doesn´t exist. Stupid, I know.

Lets get the facts straight, your a Canadian. You sponsored your wife and you were approved as a sponsor. Your wife is a Landed Immigrant. correct?

Income is not an issue nor is residency for Canadian´s.

Some one wrote a poison pen letter or nasty phone call to CIC regarding your LIE.

Your wife never lied and since Income is not an issue why on earth did you even provide said letter?

WHAT IS WORSE WHY DID YOU TELL ANYONE THAT YOU LIED?????

NOTHING CAN BE DONE TO HURT YOU OR YOUR PARTNER, RELAX.

REMEMBER IN THE FUTURE ALWAYS TELL THE TRUTH SO YOU DON´T HAVE TO POST THESE TYPES OF QUESTIONS, OR GET QUALITY ADVICE BEFORE YOU DO SOMETHING AGAIN LIKE THIS.

Thanks so much Roy. And you don´t think I´ll have any problems with the company I supposedly worked for if they find out? We used their logo and forged signatures. Not to worry about?

Griffin,

I must say I am a bit confused with your posts. In an earlier post you said:

??I needed a notarized letter with all sorts of information and had a fraudulent one expertly created for some company that doesn´t exist.??

After that you posted:

??And you don´t think I´ll have any problems with the company I supposedly worked for if they find out? We used their logo and forged signatures.??

Which is it? Is the company doesn??t exist, how can you have problems with a company? How can your use ??their?? logo if ??they?? don??t exist.

So does the company exist or not? If it does, did you fraudulently used their logo and forged their signature?

You are asking a question, but seems like you are still hiding a lot. I don??t think its fair to ask for advise based on partial information.

It didn´t take too long at all, actually. My wife and I lived in S.E Asia for the waiting period and had a friend collect our mail and pass on the relevant paperwork updates. That´s the way to do it:) That´s not illegal is it? LoL. If I can get away with forged documents then I am certain that is not an issue.

The company does exist, I just never worked for them. I had my friend draw up the relevant papers with all relevant info, and we signed them. I thought that was okay.
