Subject: Civil Engineer and immigration
  Hi all

I am helping a friend to migrate to Canada and he is an employed Civil engineer and it is surprising for me to know that a young engineer do not qualify to migrate under new regulations. He is scoring 62 (+ -) whereas he needs 67 points. He has to score max for english language or he marry a graduate!!!. SOOOO any one with any information wheather such applicants (62 points) can make succesfully complete immigration process??????

your friend really needs to get those 67 points or he is wasting his application money. there are 600,000 applications in the system (4 -5 years worth) so it is easy for CIC to be rigid about the 67 point pass mark. Yes, it is shocking that your friend does not currently qualify. I do not think I would qualify either! But you know and I know... that without very strong english skills (french in Quesbec), that all the education in the world is lost if you cannot communicate. Get that english score to the point where they can earn the full points. You will be doing your friend a favour and saving a lot of heartache and disappointment.

a job offer will increase your chance coz it will give you enough points even if you scored 2 pts each in english plus they will waive our proof of fund, a relative in Canada will also give you extra point.

if none of the above, then you must score the necessary IELTS score, atleast 67 points is a must bro.
