Hey,

I just wanted to ask you how´s the application coming along for your guy in Morroco. Did they finally issued his PR visa?

One of my co-workers has a brother in Morroco and is going to apply through the visa office in Paris (I think)under the SW program and I was just wondering what is the time line.

I hope everything is working out for ya.
Tomorrow I am going to beautiful Kelowna!!!!! Fort McMurray still busy busy busy.

Cheers

Bill

my guy is Tunisian. Time line has been getting longer by the week since we started and we are considering alternate routes. Just waiting for some family stuff to work itself out. I would really discourage a standard skilled worker application - under the proposed new rules they are going to be waiting forever unless their skill is in current high demand. They would be better off doing the work permit route.

Bill,

Your friend being Morrocan, I am assuming can speak French. If so, has be considered applying for Quebec? Might be faster.

Hi Ray,

This gent is a a co-worker´s brother I don´t even know him. I was just curious, when he asked me about time lines I couldn´t give him an answer but I told him that I will try to find one.

Thanks guys for your help.

Cheers

Alternative routes, you say... Do I read something fishy behind those words? Is there a need to alert the CIC folks or it is just an innocent expression?

no, nothing fishy. Skilled Worker applications are the slowest means out there to get residency. They are straight forward but that is the only good part about them.

PNP´s, work permits, legit family class sponsorships are all faster for someone with the right skills and the right relationships.

nice attempt at entrapment.

Its surprising Roy has not jumped at him yet, he is usually good at doing that to people who post such questions.
