Hi Sharon & Roy , I know one of my couple freinds , wife is in Australia ( Doing Masters in Accountancy ) , and husband living in India , wat i want to know from them is , and his wife wants to come to Canada , and study from here , in sept it will be one year for her , and they had also applied for Canadian P.R , so wat r d chances if she applies for student visa from Australia , she will get it (after knowing that she had already aapllied for P.R) but his husband he already had a visitor visa for canada for 5 yrs , and its expiring in 23 -sept-08 , so he is planning to visit me before that...?

so do u suggest she should or shouldny apply for student visa for canada...?

she is allowed to apply but that does not mean she will get it. Part of a student visa requirement is the proof that she will return home at the end of her studies. By the looks of things she wants the student visa to get her into Canada faster than through her PR process. What happens if her PR is refused? would she leave Canada?

are the woman in Australia and husband in India trying to immigrate as a couple? how are they proving the relationship is genuine and not for immigration purposes if they are both in different countries?

like I said - she can try but there are no guarantees.
