I am working in edmonton, alberta under working visa. I recently went back home to get married as that was a long time plan already. I am using my maiden name in all my documents (e.g passport, visa etc.) and I want to change it to my married name, where do I start?My employer would be working on our PNP soon and I would want my married name to be used so that i can sponsor my husband in the near future.Please help.
Thanks a lot!=)

(in reply to: Change of Status) Hi,
In my opinion, instead of wasting time in changing name just tell them you are married now and get your permanent status. Once you have your PR card in hand you should proceed to sponsor your husband and after that you should change your name. In this way you will need least documentation.
