Hi everyone,
Is anybody from USA applyed for canadian Immigration recently? I am graduated from an American university and though I provide a letter with related documents for English Proficiency, they sent my documents back because of that. IS there any other way rather taking IELTS exam? Should I write another letter regarding my English Proficiency?

Yes you could write another letter or you could simply take IELTS and be done with it.
I just dont understand why everyone tries to get around the rules. Just do as asked and call it a day. Why are you bothering to fight the city hall?

yup, take the test unless you are willing to accept 8 points for language.

Thanks Ray and Sharon. I think I will take the test. the only reason was my too busy schedule that didn´t allow me to have a look at sample tests and take a break from work to go for exam. But apparently, I have to do so. By the way, is there anyone else from USA here?

Hi Everyone,
I am in USA and want to apply for Canada Immigration. I do not have a valid language test. In the past I wrote IELTS and TOEFL tests and my results were more than excellent. My GRE is still valid and verbal percentile is 95. I have also completed one year of my grad degree in US. Do I need to take another IELTS exam.

Hi Nadeem,
You can try to sent your past exam records, along with an explanation letter. But there is always risk of returning your application for that. So if you are in hurry, take the test. BTW, which city of US are you living?
