Subject: Frustrated, confused where do i turn>?
ok, so long story short...i am canadian, my husband is american. i relocated to Michigan and became a permanant resident here. The economy is so cruddy here we want to move back to ontario. My husband lost his job, so it makes it hard to apply for him to move back to canada while unemployed. Ive read that if we apply while he s in canada, he cant leave canada, and if we get denied, we cant appeal@@, can i just bring him into canada and apply while hes there? he pretty much has a job lined up with a family business....but i cant find anyone to talk to with out a case number, and the phone numbers do not respond to phone calls, who the hell do i talk to, to find out whats the best option, any one have any advice? thanks
Ang

are you a Canadian citizen? If so, begin an out of Canada application. you will need to provide some assurances that you are intending to come back to Canada. You need to sponsor him - which requires no proof on income.

You can remain in the US while everything is processed. may take a few months but it is much better than him attempting to come to Canada (they can refuse him entry) and sponsoring him with an inland application.

Roy, our resident immigration guru may have some better solutions for you.

Income is not an issue when sponsoring a spouse or a dependent child.

You can have your cake& eat it too if you fill in your schedule 1 correctly.

Stop thinking negative you love him and he loves you so make a life together where things are different. Tried another country and it was fun but...... Been there done that.

start getting your documents together immediately. apply out of Canada. read that schedule 1 very carefully. if you have questions - ask. lots of people here willing to help.

Income is not an issue unless you are sponsoring his parents too! (please say no)

I started to get documents together tonight. lol. I am NOT sponsering his parents no.

So income does not matter this i have read, but does it matter if he is employed or not? he recently lost his job.
does anyone know how long it takes to apply to buffalo? Ive read differnt times but has anyone had a simular recent experience, and how long does it take? I was hoping to be back home by september.

All you seem to focus on is the negative. You claim you read but you do not see the positive side of anything.

Your not half way around the world, your husband speaks what some call English, he is North American and would probably blend in with in one minute. Yet you keep saying he is unemployed, SOOOOOOOOOOOOO been there done that.

Buffalo RPC spousal processing times 3 - 11 months and add a month for Mississauga CPC. So in theory, (four months) and he is a Landed Immigrant. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/international/05-fc-spouses.asp

If he decides to visit your family in Orangeville and he puts on his IMM 008 Schedule one his current residential address the one in Battle Creek, Michigan. Technically he can stay in Canada for the duration of your spousal sponsorship process.

Come on ---- smile!

Nina I love that name same as my Mother In Law LOL

Sharon answered exactly correct or are you implying that my answer was incorrect?

Nina what the ---- are you doing here? R U another Troll?

Angie´s partner is unemployed and they need a fresh start in their situation. Angie is all stressed out regarding her husband being unemployed.

Sharon gave her hope by telling her to get all of her documentation together immediately. When one is unemployed domestic issues get worse by the day with bills adding up.

Processing fees etc. Sharon was strongly implying Angie should bring her husband across the border with his proof of no convictions after doing the medical and submit an outside of Canada Spousal sponsorship while they live off her parents for a few months.

If you offer no solutions Nina your part of Angie problem.
