How long does it take to get visa issued after the AOR has been sent?
I am sponsoring my husband and the embassy dealing with the sponsorhsip is Damascus. So far, I have received a letter stating I was approved as sponsor and another letter stating that damascus has received the application for permanent residence and have given him a file number. Can anyone tell me what am I supposed to be expecting next? Thanx.

Hi,
Would you please share your timeline with me. My sponsorship was approved and my file was transferred to Damascus on 2nd of July, but I didn´t get any letter from embassy stating that they have received my file yet.Also Ecas shows nothing.

CIC is showing a processing history of 3-6 months after 1st phase approval for Damascus. 20% take longer than 6 months.
