Subject: Question on Request for Passport
Hello, I am sorry if this is a mundane question I shall provide the facts as I can.

1. I am a Canadian living in China.
2. I am sponsoring my wife
3. We completed and sent in the sponsorship and application for permanent residense on April 10th 2008.
4. April 17th 2008 the sponsorship application was accepted and file sent to Beijing for applicant processing.
5. May 27th 2008 a letter was reportedly sent to my wife requesting her passport, this has not shown up as of yet and as such I emailed the Beijing Embassy.
6. The Embassy said that they have requested that my wife send them her passport.

My question is this. Does this mean that she has been approved for her visa? is there nothing else I need to send except for the passport?

Thanks for any who can answer this.

Hey William, (I like your name)

More likely her application has been approved, usually the embassy is requesting the Passport to stamp the immigrant visa.

Cheers,

Bill

Thanks bill your reply is much appreciated, just thought I would check first as we still have not received the letter from the Embassy and as such was not sure. 4 years away from home finally going back.
