Is is possible to apply for a work visa to work in Canada whilst your application is in progress?
I have a skilled worker app in CIC London. I have a job offer which has been approved by HRDC and the approval letter and all necessary documentation sent with the application.
My question is, as no one knows how long my skilled worker app may take, is it possible to apply for a work visa so that I may start the job in Canada? I have been contacted by the employer and they are desperate for me to start work, however I cannot tell them when this is likely to be?

What kind of job?
Was it easy to get and approved from HR-CA.

Oh, yeah, for sure.
I am in a process of immigration too, but currently i am in Canada with a work permit.
So these two things don´t conflict. Plus a HRDC working permit will accelarate your reviewing process.
