Subject: visitor exit date
My mom arrived here yesterday on a visit visa. She has a one year multiple entry visa.
I though she will have an exit date stamped on her passport by the CBSA officer, but she only has one stamp - the port of entry and date of arrival (no exit date).

What is the date she needs to exit the country ?

Why are you yelling?? its rude to type in all caps has anyone told you that??

Expiry date is for the visa not for the stay, they are to different things.. Anyone having a visit visa valid for 5 years doesn?t mean he/she can stay for 5 years.

I appreciate your reply but if you are not sure of the information dont reply, please don?t make guesses. Someone may get into trouble with incorrect/misleading information.

Date of exit is usually written below the stamp by Immig officer or a Visitior Record is issued.

Refer guide 5580.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5580E2.asp

When you arrived in Canada and gave your passport to the officer, they authorized your stay by placing a stamp in your passport and/or issuing an additional document. Check your passport.

If there is no stamp, a handwritten date or document in your passport, your temporary resident status will expire six months from the day you arrived in Canada.

If you were given a visitor record, student or work permit, the expiry date is marked on the document.

Better call CIC call centre and speak to an agent for more info.
